The Last Birthday Card: trailer
This film gives you an excellent idea of the Orphanage's background: lots of guns, helicopters and special effects. However, the film does break one usual rule of effects filmmaking, and that's that all of the shots were done in house, rather than farmed out over a bewildering array of shops. This gave director Stu Maschwitz control not only over the quality of the shots, but also over their "personality," and gave the film an organic, homegrown quality sometimes lacking in big budget films.

The trailer was entirely produced on a desktop, with Adobe After Effects® used to online the project, that is, converting the original interlaced NTSC video, turning it into 24 progressive frames per second, and applying the proper colour schemes.
